Default why apps work only with internet data plan???? - 10-28-2009, 02:12 PM

i have had htc windows phone n apple iphone, n apps in those phones used to work n get updated with "WIFI internet", now lately i bought a BB curve 8520 n the apps which i downloaded doesnt work on "WIFI internet"

or is there any settings to prompt "WIFI" to take control of apps when there is no "internet data plan"

badly need help in this matter.

No. Alot of apps need a Blackberry data plan to work.
This is because its a blackberry and is not like a HTC or iphone.

I have the same problem.
Can't even connect on msn messenger on it true wifi :(

You need a BB data plan, plain and simple. You can use a generic plan or WiFi, but many things will not work
