Default Using a USB modem sim card for 8520

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all

I bought a 8520 when I shifted to UAE recently and a USB modem with a 10 GB data 3G internet connection. When I use the SIM card from the modem in a Nokia phone I am able to use the phone browser to surf the net. It connects via 2G but does connect.

When I tried to do the same with 8520, and I open any website through the hotspot browser it prompts that this will work only in a wireless area and that I need to be in one.

Is there any workaround for this?

nope. tieing up your data connection on a blackberry by tethering renders other services un-usable.
