I have this really annoying thing going on with the SMS on my Curve 8530. When I'm on the home screen and I type in a contact's name, and then hit the menu and select "SMS ______," about half the time it will take me to the Messages application instead of the area for a new SMS. Then if I hit the Back button and repeat that process, I get straight to the SMS app. Does anyone know why? It's reallllyyy annoying.

Try a battery pull. It should do the trick. What specific model do you have?

I've done that. It just randomly started one day. But I have the 8530 for Sprint.

Try updating the software
