Default 8530 MicroSD Question

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a 16gb microSD on the way. I'll replace the 2 GB card that came in my 8530. I've only had it for a month or so.

Question: should I back up everything, install the new card, then restore?

Does the sd card only hold media? So if I change out the card, I will only lose music, videos, and pictures? Not my contact list and calendar? Is that right?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums (both of you).

Back up your current 2gb card to your PC. Insert the 16gb in your device and format it. Then copy the data from you PC to your new card.

The SD card will only hold media, no contacts, calendar appointments, SMS, email, etc will be stored on the media card.
