I just bought the 8520 curve and the sound on it is unlike anything i've heard before. it's very echoey and painful.
I've tried playing around with the enhanced audio and the volume.. still sounds the same.. anyone else has that problem? or solution?

If this is a new BB, exchange it. Sounds like a faulty speaker.

I just got upgraded to 8520 from 8700r model last week by my company and I had exactly the same issue you have, its the feedback issue between the microphone and Speaker.

I use to hear echo or find myself in an empty room when I use to speak on the 8520.

I called the Rogers support line and they said its a faulty unit and replace it which I did now just waiting for a new unit. Get it replaced as soon as possible.
