Default Invalid Sim Card Error

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I've bought a new unused Curve from a work colleague it was an unwanted gift and had it unlocked on Thursday. I installed my daughters Virgin card and then unfortunately realised I had to have a BB bolt on.

Just bought an o2 with bolt on and the BB is displaying the invalid sim message.

The o2 card works in my daughters LG and the Virgin sim works in the BB.

Can the shop not unlocked it for o2? I've tried the options ,advanced mEPD and network is saying disabled.

Any ideas please.
Yours frustrated Barnes1.

Default invalid sim error

update....just been in advanced options and the sim is unlocked but network is active.

I've paid for the unlock ..could it have been done incorrectly?

Network = Active ... phone is carrier locked.
If you paid for an unlock, get your money back.

Hi thanks for the reply..I'm new to Blackberry technology.

Just a couple of questions if you don't mind.
It appeared to be unlocked for the virgin sim. Would you know what has happened please?

Also, can I unlock the phone myself rather than take it back yto the shop?

Cheers.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

You need an unlock code to unlock it, so you'll need to pay. Your sim lock being disabled has to do with the sim PIN, nothing to do with the phone problems

Hi,
Thanks for the info.

I appreciate I have to pay to unlock the BB but I've already paid 15 on Thursday at the local phone shop to get it unlocked.
Being bank holiday weekend I'm sure the shop will be closed but I know a place which will be open over the weekend but it's another 15.
It appeared to be unlocked correctly as the Virgin sim worked and the problem arose today after purchasing the o2 with the BB bolt on.

Could the unlock have been reversed when I took the battery out to fit the o2 Blackberry sim?

Cheers.

Once a BlackBerry is truly unlocked, it cannot be relocked.
It was never unlocked if Network says Active.

Panic over...just had the phone unlocked at another shop. It hadn't been done correctly at the first shop.

Thanks for your help.
