BB 8530(Virgin mobile) & Security timer?

I've got one extremely annoying problem. When using Google maps and scrolling(to see around your position) then hit "My location" after a few time I get a pop-up box that says:

Google Maps is trying to re-set your security timer and accept, deny, don't show again.

The problem is whatever choice(s) I make the box won't go away and the phone is then useless. The only way I've found to recover it to pull the battery and wait forever as it reboots.
