Lightbulb SMS Text slow-down theory

Please Login to Remove!

I notice that after certain some SMS texts, my BB 8530 slows to a crawl. I used to think it was a memory issue, did the clean/wipe/battery pull/etc, but the problem always returned.

I finally noticed that it only happened when two people would text me. They were both on Verizon so I had another verison customer text me a message and that didn't seem to cause problems. Sprint had no idea and didn't think it was that big of an issue on a global basis to warrant further research.

I dug a little deeper and found that both of the people that cause me slow downs with their SMS texts are using the voyager phone. I know, it doesn't make much sense, but if you get a text that starts to slow down your BB, erase the texts just from the suspected sender and see if your device speeds back up. If it does, ask them what carrier/phone they are using and we may be able to actually have someone look into it.

just a thought,
