Exclamation Can't access Wi-Fi with my Curve 8520

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I just got as a present a BB Curve 8520.
I am trying to connect my BB with my home Wi-Fi internet, but it doesn't seem to work. I have already synchronized it with my modem, through the PIN number provided by the phone.
When I go to "Manage Connections" it shows that its connected but with a white "minus" next to it.
I want to know what can I do to make it work, I just tried with my dads Bold, I did exactly the same configuration and he is able to surf the internet.
I already appreciate the attention.

Thanks,
Pedro

The white dash indicates a connection to the router, but not to BIS.
You need a blackberry data plan on your account for it to produce a green tick.

Oh, is it possible to get a blackberry data plan with a prepaid SIM Card?

Hi,

Just wanna share this.
I am using prepaid sim.
And I am enjoying my Facebook for Blackberry
(or simply other Blackberry Internet Services)

In our country, I have to subscribe (via text) for a day/week/month
to access BB Internet services.

When I am not subscribed,
I still have access to wi-fi
using my regular browser.
