My 8520 has performed faultlessly for a year but all of a sudden it will no longer delete emails off the mailserver when asked to do so. I am using Vodafone in the UK and I'm sure that this problem started at about the time when the firmware was upgraded a couple of months ago.

I have checked the usual suspects and email synchronization is set to "on" both on the handset and with Vodafone and I've even deleted the email settings entirely and re-installed them but nothing has worked.

It is annoying on a daily basis that having deleted the emails from the Blackberry that I then have to download them from the mail server into Outlook and delete them all again but I'm off on a three week vacation shortly and don't wish to return to find 500 emails that I have already read on the Blackberry and supposedly deleted.
