Question Can't download large files with my 8520. Help

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 10 GB bandwidth limit from my ISP which I never use, so I would like to download files through my BB to utilize this bandwidth, I tried going to a site like MajorGeeks.com - Download Freeware and Shareware Computer Utilities. to download some programs, but when I try to download any file it says file to large to stream.

I tried downloading a small 245 kb file and it worked, but large files give me that error message...

How can I go about downloading files through my 8520 ??

On the BlackBerry there is a 5MB download limit as all traffic goes through the RIM Relay.

A way of bypassing this is to sometimes use a third party browser and tell it to use a tcp-ip connection. Bear in mind you would have to set an APN in Options/Settings/Advanced/TCP-IP.

If you have wifi available, you can also turn on wifi on the device and use the hotspot browser. It does not have the file size limit that internet browser has.
