Default BDM doesn't recognize the need to update phone

Please Login to Remove!

I have downloaded and installed 1168 on my computer and deleted the vendor.xml file.

When I look at my phone, it shows the current version on the phone is 509.

However, when I run desktop manager and go to upgrade, it does not find any software that it needs to upgrade.

Any ideas?

If you have any other builds in your computer, remove them.

Go and find the app loader file: Its in the same area where you deleted the vendor.xml file and click on it with your internet connection off.

c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Well, I've started to encounter similar problems, the software version my BB currently has is 4.6.314 but then the Desktop wont let me upgrade it! "NO update is required for your handset" is what it tells me! Thats nuts!

Help needed! :(
