while activating BB service the edge does not come in capital letters (EDGE).
 

Urgent help!!!!!!
I have a 8520 and while activating the balckberry services the word edge does not come in capital letters EDGE. Service provider Vodafone says there is hardware issue. I have removed the battery and sim card; re formatted the phone and all the other options. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

If it does not turn to EDGE it means you have no data.
The data plan may not be properly provisioned.
Call vodafone back, make sure its technical help, not customer services, and explain the situation.

With the device on, pull the battery for 30 to 60 seconds, replace and let it reboot. Resend the service books.

How do I resend the service books? Thanks for ur help.

I have tried pulling out the battery, no help. Should i install the service pack and check?
