i have bb 8520 os v4.6 and unable to update to version 5.0. i go to blackberry website and go to device software and click update and shows that i have no updates available. when click view other versions only shows v4.6. please help.

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same issue with an 8350i from 4.6 to 5.0. I had to wipe the BB with JL_cmdr and then install the 5.0 version clean. If you do this make sure you backup first, so you can restore your data and settings

I can't do that because I don't have a direct download of version 5.0 I have to do the update version wich requires blackberry connection.
