I upgraded my Curve 8530 to 5.0.0.782 the other day and since the upgrade I cannot get my voice dialing to work on the handset or with my bluetooth headset.

When I try using voice dial it says "Initializing, Please Wait" then a screen flashes for a portion of a second that reads "Scanning Contacts: Please wait" with a blue bar that reaches about 4% then goes back to my home screen.

Anyone else experience this?

It was working fine with the previous version which I did not take note of the version number.

Is there anyway to downgrade versions on these things?

I am a firm believer in if it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.

Can you load another OS, perhaps the one you were using previously?

Since it's not working properly I consider it to be broken

I will have to see if I can load a different OS but I am not sure how to go about doing that....google is my friend I guess.
