Hi there, I just got a 8530 Curve and I noticed that when I read an e-mail message on my phone, the same e-mail message on my actual e-mail account does not show up as being read.

I have a hotmail and yahoo e-mail account. Previously with my last curve (8330) my messages on my actual e-mail account would show up as being read if I read/viewed them on my phone.

Everything else syncs fine but I'd like for my messages to show up as being read on my accounts if I I've viewed them on my phone. Is there a setting I can change to make this happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are using BIS, then it is working as it should. Email does not sync with most ISPs

As for the previous device, was it on a company BES? If so, then that syncs.

The previous device was being used with the same two personal e-mail accounts.

This is probably a dumb question (I'm obviously a newbie) but can I set up BES on my phone for my personal accounts?

You need to get a hosted BES from someone like exchangemymail (one of our sponsors). Check with them on the cost.
