Do you have a blackberry data plan?
If not, then it won't connect to blackberry infrastructure.

I have the same issue with my 8520. Come to find out, the OS I'm using won't let it connect to any WiFi I try..so I had to get a new phone, because RIM had me install the wrong OS from TMobile. So ill be back using the 4.6 OS, which I really don't want. So you may need to contact your carrier and see if they can help or if they can connect you with a RIM Support Tech. Best of luck to you.
