Default Failure to Resolve Error 552

Please Login to Remove!

My Blackberry Curve 8520 started showing Reload Software: 552 on the screen (thats after ive installed Google Sync and it kept showing error messages). After going through your forums I found the option to recover the situation by connecting to BB Desktop Manager with the battery out but its not working. I started the BB Desktop Manager and connected the phone with the battery out but there is no "Application Loader" on the UI. rather a Pop out Message is appearing saying "Blackberry Desktop Software cannot communicate with the connected device and its giving me the option to Retry, Update or Close. retry brings me to the original screen but when I click Update it searches for a while then it says "There are no Blackberry device Software updates available but I have installed v5.0.0.592 for Blackberry Curve 8520 which is meant for MTN South Africa which is my career. I am using BB Desktop Software v6.0.0.43. Please if there is anyone from RIM please advice me where I am going wrong

Moved to the 8500 section.

Please understand that we are NOT connected with RIM in any way, shape, or form. This is a private Forum, run by volunteers.

Where did you see the post on removing the battery and then connecting? Try connecting with the battery inserted.

You might try deleting some apps or at least the last app that you loaded before this began. That might (and I stress MIGHT) fix it. If not, then you will probably need to reinstall the OS.

Delete whatever OS that you installed on your PC. Uninstall DM.

Do a clean reinstall of DM.

Wipe with Jl_cmdr. See the FAQ for more info.

Then see the yellow sticky at the top of the 8500 section for the latest OS and instructions. Follow the instructions exactly and be patient.
