Default Remote Desktop, etc

Hi All,

I have been offered a Blackberry Curve (8520) by T-Mobile in the UK. Quite a good deal at 20pcm.

Apart from the usual phone and Internet facilities, there are 3 additional uses I would benefit from if these are possible, so I need the experience and advise of you Blackberry experts.

1. Skype would be very useful as many of my contacts use Skype but I can see that this is not possible on the 8520.

2. The ability to "Remote Desktop Connection" into my server.

3. Use the 8520, connected into my Acer Aspire 101 netbook, for occasional live demonstrations on my Internet based software products using the web browser built in to the 8520.

Any advice, links and experience much appreciated.

1. Skype is only available for Verizon BBs and in the US only AFAIK.

2. Do not know

3. You want to use your BB browser to run on your laptop? Doesn't work that way. And keep in mind the 8520 is EDGE (2G) only so it will be slow.
