Hi all,

I have tried to find info on this, but I'm completely lost.... I did check out a link to download the old OS (just upgraded last night.... didn't know this was an issue) but they are for other cell providers not mine.....

My bb curve (brand new just out of the box yesterday) has no sound when I receive emails or reminders now.....

I have taken the battery off.... this fixes it for a moment, but it will just revert after a time

I have upgraded my micro to a 2G (still bunches of space as I am sure you figured with a brand new phone)

I figure I just need to revert to the old O/S but don't know how to do that .....

Little help?

I just wanted to say thanks to those that configured the stickies above.... I have reverted to the 4.6 and it all seems to be functioning properly.

My 8520 did had the same issue last night, remember installing some app before this happened. Anyway mine came with OS5, after installing the app I was prompted to reboot but didn't. After noticing I wasn't receiving the normal sound alerts with sms and instant messages I rebooted and all is ok now.
