Red face Pin No. for Blackberry 8520 curve

Please Login to Remove!

I have a on the 02 network.

All was well until I decided to remove the battery from the unit. When switching the unit back on it did not recognise my previous PIN No.

I tried twice using my original pin no. and have one remaining chance to enter the correct PIN No. I have noted the IMEI and PIN No's on the white sticker inside the back of the unit.

Can anyone PLEASE HELP ME!

Thanks

the Pin number would be related to your SIM card it is the PIN and PUK code it is most likely asking for
you will need to call your service provider being O2 and get that information from them

Thanks

Perhaps I should have mentioned my previous PIN was just 4 digits, so would your suggestion still apply

What are the chances of the unit accepting the PIN no. on the white sticker inside the back of my BB?

That PIN number is the device PIN for blackberry services.
It will not work.

Your device is asking because you've put a PIN lock on your SIM card. Enter it wrong, until it asks for a PUK code, and phone O2 and get a PUK code.

yes the PIN number is a 4 digit number from your provider for your SIM card
they should provide you with the PUK code to go with it
if you dont enter it correctly again it will deactivate your SIM card for good

Thanks MidnightDraven, a mistake on my part as this was my first ever post.

Also thanks for your helpful input.

I had a 4 digit pin no. and was using it with no problem. Is this now invalid because I took the battery out of my unit?

I have tried my original pin twice and still have one remaining chance left to enter a pin no.

Thanks

No, it shouldn't reset anything related to the SIM card just because you took the battery out.
It may have changed the way it inputs it, so what you thought was werd could be 1235 [or whichever numbers the letters relate to] or vice versa for example
