Default Email Problems

Hello,

I have been trying to set a email account up on my Blackberry Curve 8520 smartphone but once I have completed the process, I can't seem to receive any emails to my phone?

I am trying to set up a hotmail.co.uk onto my phone and also a blackberry.orange.co.uk.

I have formatted my phone and reinstalled everything and I still can't seem to get it to work?

What am I doing wrong?

To know if you're doing anything wrong, we need to know what you are doing.
So, explain how you've setup the emails, any messages, errors or otherwise you get.

I go to menu, setup and then to email set up.

I click on add a exsisting email address, I go to Windows Live and select hotmail.com. Once it has loaded, I change the .com to .co.uk and enter my email address & password.

It processes and it says -

You have sucessfully added - [email address]

A new icon for this mail box has been added to the home screen. You can use this mail box to send and receive new email from your device.

I then do the same process for the blackberry.orange.co.uk email address.

I can't seem to receive any email to either account.

So the icons are setup, which means the service books have loaded, so that's good.
But new email isn't coming through?
Old emails won't come through, and only those in the inbox will come through, so if you have any filters to move to different folders, that would be stopping emails coming through.

Try a hard reset (with power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds) and then try sending test emails again to those addresses.
