Re: crashing when uploading to facebook
When the screen freezes, as you say, how long have you waited before giving up and pulling the battery?

First thought is that the BlackBerrys resources are maxed out and either it is locked up, or it has no resources left for anything but uploading the picture. I would wait ten or fifteen minutes, or even twenty or thirty, to be sure.

Next thought is look at the other applications that you have running, particularly application that are set to run in the background. Note that possibly some apps will shift to background and you won't see them when you switch applications. Check the setting on everything, and make sure all are shut down. Then try facebook again.

Last thought is take a look at your amount of free memory.

Re: crashing when uploading to facebook
thanks for your reply - when i say the screen freezes it remains frozen for any amount of time until i pull the battery. If i just cancel off facebook nothing on my phone works until i battery pull. most of the time a "rim error" pops up. ive checked my memory i have loads spare - the only app i have is facebook and fb chat

thanks again :)

Re: crashing when uploading to facebook
FYI more often than not you'll find information, maybe even a solution, if you search on the exact error message. That info is important to troubleshooting the problem.

When the error happens again, write the error message down, and post it.
