slight white lie really.....it's my 15yr olds sons blackberry...this is the fisrt time in early 2 yrs that he has exceeded his tariff, so checked his bill online which shows that the phobe for sone reason at around midight annd is eating data between 3 and 10 mb per night....says on his bill blackberry usage, its been doing this for a year so cant see that he gets himself up at that hour to use his blackberry, just needed to know if apps or so certain settings can do this before asking the reason why,

thanks

No one here can know more about that BlackBerry than you, Rick, except your son.

Yes, there are apps that will automatically use data, depending on settings. And there is overhead data useage regardless. The amount of data used in a session and the regularity (or lack of regularity) of sessions might give you some idea of what is happening.
