Default Importing SIM contacts - 10-15-2007, 06:13 AM

Hi all,

For some odd reason, when importing my SIM contacts to my 8707 it does not recognise any and therfore imports nothing.

If i put the same SIM into either an 8700 or an 8820, select 'open SIM phone book' it loads all of my contacts with-out issue.

Any ideas on why the 8707 is being awkward???

Thanks.

No. The same issue occurs with every 8707 device I have tried, so I assumed that it is not an error, but more of an incompatibility.

Furthermore I have now attemped to use a non-BB enabled SIM, and amazingly, it worked fine. It read the SIM contacts successfully and copied them to the device! So the incompatibility appears to relate to the format of how the SIM has been written to.

Did you have any luck in resolving this? I've got an 8707 with exactly the same issue at the moment.

Cheers
