Default Delete on Handheld only - 10-15-2007, 11:18 AM

I have a user that has a an 8703 from Verizon and when he deletes something from his blackberry, it removes it from his inbox even though his device is set to "Delete on Handheld only"

I thought that if the setting was set at "Delete on Handheld only" that it wouldn't remove it from Outlook no matter what took place. Is that not the case?
