Default Duplicate Emails - 10-15-2007, 04:37 PM

Hello,

I am receiving duplicate emails. I receive an email first (in a timely manner), then exactly 8 minutes later I receive another copy. Any ideas?

8700g, BIS/GMAIL, T-Mobile.

Thanks,
Michael

I already have that enabled on my t-mobile bis. I think I found what the issue was. On Gmail's settings, I had POP enabled for ALL mail, instead of mail going forward. Once I enabled it just for mail going forward, the duplicate emails seemed to stop.

Last night it was working properly for a number of hours. When I woke up this morning I noticed I had 200+ emails pushed to my handheld again; eg it pushed my inbox twice!

Can anyone lend information as to this issue? Thank you.

That has happened irregularly with my TMo account. One evening I got about 800 old emails from 6 months ago resent to my device. It is an anomaly, I don't know what can be done to avoid it.

Oh the joys of technology.

It seems to be working fine this morning; I'll see if it does it again throughout the day.

It really bugged me, too. Why was TMo saving all this OLD email on their servers?

I have not noticed (here on this board) users indicating it happens from ATT, Verizon or other carriers, only TMo. I think it happened to me in early June and that is when I noticed a few others mentioning it on here.

We need a name for it, like "TMo Mail Vomit" or something, lol.

I was sitting in a meeting yesterday and it started going NUTS. My co-worker looked at me and goes "settle down man!"

Yeah, it is kinda annoying.

I'm using IMAP on exchange 2007 and get duplicate emails everytime I reply to an email. This is happening to every BB in our company (across verizon, TMo, and ATT). Does anyone have any info on this?? I can't seem to find any settings within exchange that would explain it.
