Hello to all. First poster here. I am new to the BlackBerry world with my new 8700g. I need help!!! This thing is so overwhelming to me right now. Here are the basic questions that I have:

What kind of operating system do I need?
What is the correct desktop software I need to download?
How in the world do I get my work calendar on the phone?

I don't know if I am just technologically unsavy or if I am in way over my head. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Is your blackberry on an enterprise server (BES) or are using BIS? Or, do you even have a data plan?

OS? Don't know what you mean. If you mean the blackberry, look for the sticky on latest OS for 8700.

If you want to sync with PIM on a windows machine, you will need desk top manager. See the faq for info and download links.
