Default ringtones & Contacts... - 01-19-2008, 05:10 AM

I have a 8700v now and previously had a sony P910i.I want to convert sony ericsson p910i contacts backup file (backup.apd) to a blackberry compatible file to use the contacts in the address book...does anyone know the best way to this pls

Also, I wish to add some new ringtones, but not via the internet, but from my PC..is this possible?

Hand*ngo had a piece of software for the P910i that worked like 'explorer' and all I had to do was copy & paste from the PC into the relevent dir on the phone...is there any software for BB's that does this?

thanks in anticipation of some good soul helping & sorry if the questions are a bit naive

Don't know about the conversion. Maybe someone else can advise on that. But if you have your contacts in Outlook, Yahoo or some other PIM that Desktop Manager can work with, syncing the blackberry with that is your best bet.

About the ringtones, see

I suspect your main question was about converting the contacts backup file. We'll see if anyone gives a way to do it or says it can't be done. Have you googled?
