Unhappy 8700c Password Problems - 01-25-2008, 08:51 PM

Some how my blackberry 8700c locked me out and said that my password was expired. So I had to renew the password. The thing is, that it won't let me go into it to renew it. I've had 10 chances to do this, and have used 9 already. It's now telling me that if the next one is wrong it will erase everything in it. Can anyone help me out with this?

The only way for a password to "expire" is through some sort of IT policy. There is no way into a password-protected Blackberry. Security is one of their strongest selling points. This kind of thing is much more common when somebody finds a Blackberry and attempts to get into it, so RIM was very careful to use encryption no one but the NSA can break.
