Someone will have better advice than I can give you. In the meantime, can you repeat the procedure and see if it will wipe so that it will boot up with the 507 error?

Make sure you have an OS installed on your PC as well. try to pull the battery out of the device with Desktop Manager running. Launch App Loader. Place the battery back in the device and connect it to the computer. As soon as App loader says PIN:UNKNOWN hit next. See if you can get the device to be recognized that way.

I know this is listed above but what happens when you do this? Ive screwed my OS many times and used this to get it back.

Your profile says 7800g. Don't know about that. Typo?

Anyway, see the following:

How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ.com

You can install the OS provided from any carrier, but it must be the OS for your model blackberry. Carefully follow the directions provided in the links above.

I didn't know above what model you really had, ssssss. See this:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tml#post711408

Some complain about desktop manager 4.3. And if you are using an older version of Outlook, it may not work for you. There is no blackberry incompatibility problem that I'm aware of. If you have problems, version 4.2 SP2 would be what you want to try.

The 507 error means no operating system. I'm mobile now, and also will certainly defer to someone who knows more about this. Did you do the step where you install the handheld software on your computer? Not just download it, install it?

And see the good summary by NJBlackBerry at http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-new-post.html
