I just unlocked the phone. But now it says "data connection refused" and when I try to call, it says "cannot connect". Can someone please help me? Thanks.

You must have a BB Data Plan for the "Data Connection Refused" message to go away. That has nothing to do with the unlocking. On the 8700, what is you OS version, Options > About?

That has nothing to do with calling... calls and SMS should work fine. Try removing your chip and replacing it.

I feel stupid. Thanks a lot. I just moved the chip around a bit, and it works now.
