Post 8703e will not power on but the red led flashes twice every second - 02-15-2008, 11:54 PM

My 8703e will not turn/power on. The red LED on top flashes twice quickly every 3 seconds. I have tried popping the battery out (and leaving it out for minutes) then reinserting it. I tried inserting a paper clip into the hole in the back (just below the bottom left corner of the battery compartment) but I can't feel it pushing down on anything and the phone does not get reset. Is the handheld "hosed"?

Thanks, Tim (CopyMan)

There is a procedure for this using command line I just don't remember the string! Perhaps one of our invaluable mods will come along and help out! I would try to search for it but I am on wap currently makes searching tough.

Try this.

1. Unplug BB from PC.
2. Launch the Application Loader like you were going to install something.
3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.
4. Re-install the BlackBerry OS.
