Default Automatic Keyboard Lock - 02-16-2008, 07:35 PM

I've been asking a bunch of questions these days. Thanks for all your help. I just wanted to know if there is a way to set an automatic lock on the keyboard (without a password, preferably) so that you don't have to keep manually pressing the lock button, but instead, the phone locks itself after a set time. Thanks

No, there isn't a way to do that without the password. But you could set it to lock when you put it in the holster...

Options (icon) -> Security Options -> General Settings -> Lock Handheld upon holstering

It should work, though, if your BB is running OS 4.2.

Autolock is a great application, been using it for a while now. No issues (pearl)

Sounds like a good app. Too bad my IT policy blocks 3rd party loads

I don't know about the 8700 series (cuz I have a Pearl), but if I hold down the SYM/* key for a sec or so, the keyboard automatically locks.

On the Qwerty keyboard devices it's the "k" key. (If dial from homescreen is disabled.)
