Default Want to use older 4.1 firmware on OTB 4.2 8700c - 02-17-2008, 02:54 PM

How would I go about doing this? I have an AT&T 8700c (AT&T, not Cingular branded) with the 4.2 firmware OTB. How can I downgrade to the previous firmware, 4.1? Will this hurt anything? Will I get the AT&T 4.1 themes?

Just download the 4.1 OS and use DM to install it on the BB.

I think 4.1 may be a better OS for the 8700. I see some failed call issues with the 4.2 I did not have before.

Where can I find 4.1 on the internet? Verizon only offers 4.2.

Thanks

4.2 for the 8700 (Tmobile version as posted on the top of this board) works perfectly, if you are seeing errors check for updated version of any 3rd party apps... I had issues with an old version of Gtalk and Google maps throwing errors.

Can you be more specific? Rim doesn't have it. Are you saying the AT&T version will work on Verizon?

the 8700 OS will work on 8700 series BBs. Verizon has the 8703, so you need an OS for the 8703.
