Default adding icon to homepage? - 02-19-2008, 01:21 PM

I am using google weather ( I tried BB weather but I just can"t get it to work, I keep getting a error) I wanted to know if there is a way to add google weather with a icon on the homepage for easy access. Now I have to go to T zones, then weather , then my weather.
I only got internet acess a week ago. so this is all new to me. I tried looking it up on here but can't find it

Lightbulb BB Weather - 02-20-2008, 12:24 AM

Blondee: BBWEather works great. You are probably experiencing the same error most folks do. Go to Options: Profiles: Edit Put the zip code of your location in the first line (Location ID) and give it a name in the second line (Description). That's all that's necessary. You can have a bunch of locations. Try it and let us know if it works. 73

The error is probably in regard to just having added data to her BB... and she probably needs to set the TCP settings:
What are the TCP and APN settings? - BlackBerryFAQ.com

and, in your BBWeather options, check the box "Disable MDS". Save and pull the batttery to reboot.

Good Point. I forgot that I did that. It's been a long time since I installed BBWeather. 73

Default I did it - 02-20-2008, 11:11 AM

The only problem is it is useless..the font is so small I can't even read it. I increased the font size on everything else on the but the BB weather font is so small

Searching here first?

Options > Advanced ? Applications. Find BBWeather and delete it.
While you are in the applications list, also, click Menu to Modules and see if there is an instance of it there also, and delete.

If it does not ask you to reboot, do so anyway.
