Default us cell 8703e(os 4.1) calendar help... - 02-19-2008, 05:18 PM

i have a question about the bb calendar...i know what i want it to be able to do, but i'm not sure it's possible. i tried a search, but didn't find what i was looking for.

my days off of work rotate on a 5-2-5-3 basis...so my primary need of the calendar is to track my days off, and i want to be viewing the entire month when i do so.

the problem i have is that my days off are just indicated with the dot...so unless i want to go into the individual day/week i can't use the calendar for anything else...otherwise i end up with dots all over the place, and the monthly view(which is what i want to be looking at)becomes useless to me.

what i would like is to be able to color code a specific date on the monthly view for reoccuring events like my days off while having the dot signify daily events on the calendar.

is there any chance i'm missing something that would allow me to do this or something similar with what i've got? would upgrading the os, or a 3rd party calendar application have what i'm looking for?

any help is greatly appreciated...thanks!!!

The BlackBerry Calendar application does not have this option. In month view you can only display the "dots" do indicate events.

Here is a link to a good list of aftermarket software.

3rd Party Application List - BlackBerryFAQ.com

Maybe someone else can advise on particular applications. I would if I could.

Lightbulb Calander Issue - 02-20-2008, 12:19 AM

I agree with AIHarkness. You need to get a separate 3rd party calender application that does not use the BB main calender. I would recommend checking the Handango website and searching for Calenders (after entering your phone model)/ They offer trials on many of the programs, Download a few and see which work. I can tell you that PocketDay, while an outstanding program, will not work in your application. It is tightly interfaced to the BB Calender app.
