Default Unable to view call time? - 02-21-2008, 09:36 AM

I have been searching the threads but couldn't seem to find anything about this -
I am unable to view a missed call time in the call log. If the caller has only called once, the call history only tells you you've missed the call - not the time. Every other phone I have ever had tells you the time of the call, but not my BB 8700. Strange!
This is really starting to be a hassle - any ideas?

Thanks!

You must be missing something, mine show the time of a missed call very clearly

In the Phone Dial screen > Options > General Options > Phone List View, what do you have set as the option? Mine is set to "Call Log".

i don't see anything but these four things in my call log list:
• the icon (either missed yellow phone, in or out phone, sms, pin etc)
• the number (or name if it's in my contacts)
• the type of number (w, m, etc)
• the date

i have no viewing of the time.
if i've answered or made the call in question, I can go to history and view the time of the last 10 or so calls i've made to that number - but if it's a missed call - nothing. all my history says is "type missed call, status aborted" no time stamp.

i've tried going to my call log options - but i just don't see what to do.

you know i just noticed i can turn it on in my message list - but that really clogs up my emails - any way to view the time in the actual call log (when you push the green front button) i guess is what i am asking.

sorry - yes my view is set to call log as well. still no time. only date.
question - does it change to date once the date changes? most of the time when this happens i get calls at night and don't see them until the next morning - only a date shows not a time. are we only able to see time for that current day? maybe that's it?

thanks.

AHHHHH

If the missed call IS the current day, it will show the time (where the date is in the last column), or if a former day, like yesterday, it will show that date.

For those showing a date, click on Menu > View History, and it will show complete details.

no that's the thing - the history does not show the time.
i have a missed call from last night - and if i go to history, all it shows is that it was a "missed call, status aborted".
no time no date. if there is more then one missed call from the same person, or if that phone number is already in my log then there is a "history" established, and it will show a proper log, but not if it's the first time for the number.

weird.

I don't know why your history view is different. Perhaps because it was an aborted call, not a missed call.

For instance I do have a missed call from the 18th, and it shows the date and the time on the top line.

you would think that - but it's not an aborted call. I didn't even know this call was coming in... so how could i abort it?
I think for now I am just going to put the missed call logging into my messages.
clunky, but at least i'll see the info.
thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

That is why I thought that.

Maybe it was SO quick, it was aborted on the other end (hung up) and the time never registered?
