Default Sprint 8703e unlock question - 02-22-2008, 09:11 AM

just got hold of a the above, how do I find the imei number to unlock device? tried the *#06# on status page with no luck.

no go for both

gives me other info, such as pin, esn but no imei

Then you have a defective device or you aren't doing what was instructed.

Stating "no go" is not real helpful if you need help.

sorry edited me response...

i was checking device and I don't even have a sim card in the device nor is there a place for one. the device works fine on the sprint network. i don't think the "e" model can be unlocked.

what i noticed different from my 8800 and 8320 is instead of imei number the 8703e has a esn number.

It is Sprint, cdma device. No IMEI.

And it can not be unlocked to use on a GSM carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T).
