My girlfriends 8700c AT&T blackberry (as far as I know) has never an OS upgrade or desktop manager upgrade. Can I, (should I?) load the some of the newer OS loads I see that are stickied (Hutchison, Singapore Telecom)?

What is the current AT&T "approved" OS number, and does it allow her to accept calendar invites on the device?

If her BB OS has never been updated, there are some nice updates in the latest OS version that she might like.

Yes, you can load an OS from another carrier (Hutchinson, etc), just make sure you follow the instructions in the sticky.

I think this is the OS I used to upgrade several devices at work, if that makes you feel any better.
