A couple of questions

1. Does the 8700 blackberry email support HTML graphics in email. I have been trying to get mine to do it all weekend - to no avail. I have gone through settings and cannot find anything on email graphics.

2. I have set up my email and positively have it set up right, but, I have received 1 email in one of my accounts all weekend and I know I have more. I usually get more than 20 a day, but, it has been all day today and I have received 1. Is there anyway to set up receiving of email in my blackberry 8700?
I just got the phone Friday, and these are the only problems I am having with it.

Oh Yes, I was also told by the T-Mobile group to get online and upgrade the software and it would fix it, I did, but it did not fix these problems.

Thanx in Advance,
Tammy

1. No, BB doesn't support html email. It's said to be coming in later versions of the OS. There are mail viewers such as www.getemmpower.com.

2. Your email is setup by using the "Setup Internet Email" icon. If you've done that then you should be getting your email. Did you check your email account with your PC to be sure you're not getting it? What email account are you using?

Welcome to the world of the BB. You try reading the FAQ to answer some of your questions.

I assume you have a BB dataplan.

Have you confirmed that you should have received more than 1 email. I know you said you usually get more, but you need to confirm, that there is mail there that has not been pushed to the BB.

Might try pulling the battery for about 30 seconds.

Also try resending the Service Books.

That is what I figure on the HTML.

As far as the setup, I did the setup with the Setup Email icon in the applications. I did check my account and my accounts do have bunches of email. What I don't understand is I received one email from that account when there are bunches of new messages in my webmail. So, I figure it must be working, but, why did it not download them all? As well as my blackberry email, I have Juno, Aol and Aim. My blackberry email won't even come through.

I am checking my outlook mail on my pc now and I am receiving 13 emails and this morning, I have not received any on my blackberry.

Ahhhhh. The problem might be that Juno and AIM mail aren't compatible with RIM. I know newer versions of Hotmail will not work. Also AOL mail used to be a problem. Not sure if it still is.

All else fails, set up a free gmail or Yahoo account and forward from Juno/AOL/AIM to that.

Yes, I have the BB dataplan.

Yes, I have confirmed that I have email, but, they are not downloading to my blackberry.

I have check FAQ's on the internet and Help from my blackberry. On the help on the blackberry, a lot of the settings it says to do are not there. I have been checking the setups all weekend and help and FAQ's and still cannot get results.

I have pulled the battery out and will see how that goes. Hopefully . . .?!

Can you tell me how to re-send the service books? I am new at this.

When I had my other service, I set up my email on that phone (although not as complicated, of course) and it worked fine.

I am going to try to delete all email off my blackberry except my blackberry email and see what that will do.

If I could just get my blackberry email to work, that would be fine. I have downloaded Gmail and Yahoo Go to my blackberry previously. So, those accounts are ok.

I found the service books and sent them again.

You might want to call TMO and make sure the device is properly configured. Did you buy it new or used?

If used, there might be an IT Policy on it preventing BIS mail from working as it should.

I just went ahead and wiped it clean. Deleted all email except for my blackberry email and now email works.
