Default Help! Roxio Media manager - 04-28-2008, 07:53 AM

Hello all,

This is my first post.

I bought my GF an unlocked 8700g device. I've updated the Blackberry OS to version 4.2

The desktop manager version I installed is version 4.3

When in the blackberry, I can now see a media folder with ringtones and pictures... it's empty and I am unable to upload ringtones or pictures to those folders. When the blackberry is connected to the computer I don't have a "media manager" option. I can't find roxio either.

Do I have to uninstall desktop manager 4.3 and install version 4.2 SP2 in order to have Media Manager appear icon appear in the Desktop Manager?

DM 4.3 is buggy, I would download 4.2 SP2, and try again. Also remember, the 8700 has no Media Card, you are loading all this to the Device Memory. Be very limiting in amount of ringtones and pictures you put on that device with OS 4.2 as it will fill up quickly.

k, I'll try that tonight. GF only needs 2 or 3 ringtones.

Should I uninstall Desktop Manager and install 4.2 SP2 or will running the 4.2 SP2 package overwrite 4.3 ?

I would uninstall 4.3 first.
