I have just activated on Vodafone in Australia, but have not yet attached BIS to the account. I want to just browse using the generic data APN (not BIS) until I have the BIS attached.

Does anyone know what the Vodafine AU APN/username/password is?

Also I have found APN is vfinternet.au I notice I don't have a BB browser to launch. So I try Opera, or just googlemaps. I get the following error message when it tries to connect:

"Your device does not ccurrently have the Browse Configuration Service Book Entries. Pleas contact your service provider to enable the Browse on your device"

Is that only for using the BIS? What if I dont want to? Can't I just browse (maybe with Opera) or use google maps using the normal data access via VodaFone APN?

I did a quick google search and there is no username and password for the APN vfinternet.au. I did come across another APN for Vodafone Australia which was simply 'internet' again, no username and password.
Not all APN settings have a username and password.
Y ou may need to go into your permissions and set it to allow for opera mini. From your BB go to options >advanced options > applications, highlight opera press menu key and select edit permissions.
