So I must have done something stupid and I know that I can count on the general internet public to point it out for me!

So when I would hit "Delete Prior" in my Messages window, it would just clear out my messages. But now it clears out my call log too!

Stupidity Alert!! I now see calls in my messages window. I think this is new.

1 - Did I do something to show calls in my messages window? How do I undo it?

2 - How can delete my messages without deleting my call log?

Phone Dial screen > options > Call Logs > set as desired.
