Angry need help with 8700g - won't start up - 05-09-2008, 01:13 PM

if anyone can offer some help. I installed a 3rd party theme via desktop manager. the usb cable became disconnected before completion.

END RESULT: the unit will only boot to a white screen with hour glass, then goes black and LED lights RED. then starts cycle over again.

Can only power off unit by removing battery. When battery installed again - same startup problem as above. Desktop manager sees unit connected to usb but unable to select restore option from menu.

Any advise wuldd be great. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

Try these links:
How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

unfortunately you will lose all data on the device.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Did you at least backup the device recently?

I wonder how the USB cable became disconnected? It does look like the OS is blown.
