Default Extra Icons On Blackberry 8700g Home Screen - 05-14-2008, 02:30 AM

I have just been given a Blackberry 8700g that was used before me.

I believe the until should have 21 icons on the home screen from factory.

Mine has 27, it has two mail icons that lead to the same inbox, there are three browser type icons that when selected wont let me access anything. I think the user before me has added them.

Is there way I can remove unwanted icons from the home screen

Thanks in advance for your help and sorry about my lack of Blackberry EXperience.

Default Delete Icons From Home Screen - 05-14-2008, 07:27 PM

Sorry mate i don't quite understand what you mean.

I sorted this out my self by going to into options, advance options, applications.

Then just delete the applications you dont want....easy.

This is the best way to delete ant apps, that you do not need.

rather than deleting the applications, just hold down the ALT key and press the trackwheel and click "hide icon".

You'll get an icon for every email address you have programmed for your device, and also a "messages" icon and a "saved messages" icon. You can just hide them as described above. Also, you can just hide icons you won't often use instead of deleting the applications entirely. If you're like me, you'll decide later on that you'll need them!
