Default Help! - 05-23-2008, 08:19 AM

Ok, I am going to try to explain this as simple as possible. I have a Blackberry 8700. Yesterday the battery had went COMPLETELY dead. I had to wait til I got home to charge it so it was dead a good 7 hours. It did this not long after it went dead and put it on the charger: The LED Light would flash red and stay lit for a few seconds (with a blank screen, no lit keys) and then the LED light would flash off and the screen would light up and show an image of the timer. It just repeats these to actions; over and over. It is still doing it! What should I DO?!!!!

Replace the battery would be the first thing I would do.

Go to an ATT store and see if they have one you can pop in and see if that fixes the problem.

Also, you might want to try for a more descriptive title rather than just "Help"- will probably get a better response.

Not nice to hijack a thread.

Do you have a BB dataplan? The BB dataplan gives you the BB browser.

On the 8700 series Bluetooth is voice only. The only way I know to transfer is to email them.

For a start, I agree with DubDub. Try another battery. Is it possible that your phone got wet? A short circuit would cause the battery to do what you described. You can tell if it got wet by looking at the lower left side of the battery compartment. There is a small square of material. If it is white you are okay. If it is red, then the phone got wet and most likely has a short in it. 73
