Default Flashing red indicator status translation - 06-17-2008, 11:48 AM

A rep sent in his 8700. It appears to have water damaged (water detector tape is red). It doesn't turn on, but flashes a 3 red flashes followed by 2 red flashes, pauses for a couple of seconds, then repeats. Can anyone tell me what this means? If indeed it is water damaged, can it be repaired? Thanks. Stephen.

Here, read this:

Got Your BlackBerry Wet? - BlackBerryFAQ

Could be savable, if the battery has been out, if not, probably not.
