Default SMS message question - 07-12-2008, 01:14 AM

Whenever someone sends me an sms message, it always gets lost in the messages folder with all the other emails I receive, and I never end up viewing it unless I consciously make an effort to check sms messages by going to messages and holding down alt and S. Because of this I dont get many of my sms messages until many hours if not days after the sms messages is sent.

Is there a way where the sms messages can go into a separate inbox and/or an icon appear on the desktop that alerts me that I've received an sms message?

Yes, if you upgrade your OS to at least 4.2, you can then choose to separate your SMS messages out to their own mailbox. See the Sticky Notes at the top of this 8700 section for the latest 8700 OS.
