Default Desktop Manager not accepting device password - 07-18-2008, 11:41 PM

Hello all.
I inherit a 8703e from my boss. I tried to connect it to the Desktop Manager but it does not accept the password. Could anyone out there help me please.
I need to connect to import the contact to the 8703e.

So call your boss and ask for the password.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I guess you can press the password wrong ten times on the device and will reset everything for you to put in your own password.

Corporate policy requires that the Blackberry is password protected and I can't override that settings. I have changed the password once, I mean I have the good password to unlock the Blackberry. Only the Destop Manager just does not recongnize that password.

Maybe you are entering numbers on the Desktop Manager password prompt instead of letters? For example, you may think you set your BB password to '4646', when in reality it is 'sfsf' (yeah, it happened to me)

That solved it. those are alpha, not numeric. Thanks bvandrasik!
